They discover that his family members and others have motives for wanting him dead, including his wife, his son and his Goth girlfriend, plus a visiting writer whose wife died under suspicious circumstances.
Pickering Wharf in Salem, an eerie bed and breakfast in nearby Danvers, and East Boothbay Harbor, Maine, are among the locales for this tale of deceit and exploitation.

For me, good characters in a good mystery is the perfect read. I was happy to see that Hannah and Mike were back in JC Clark's second novel. All the mysteries series that I've liked have the new story to solve and the old friends to visit. Hannah and Mike are those kind of people. All JC"s characters are relatable personalities, integral to the story ,and they all might have done it! Kept me guessing. It's a good crime to cozy up with..

"Sanctuary" kept me enthralled and in suspense about "who
